The Idea

So ever since I was a young kid I have been a hug Star Trek Fan. It started watching reruns of the Original Series with my parents, and going to all the TOS movies with my Uncles. It continued with The Next Generation on TV, and eventually seeing the TNG movies with my friends. Deep Space 9 may just be my favorite Star Trek TV series of all time. I was not a huge fan of Voyager, but found Enterprise to be pretty compelling. I also have read a good number of the Star Trek books, comics, and thanks to Netflix the Animated series.

The one frustration I have, and not one single source has been able to satisfy it, is a timeline of the events of the Star Trek Universe. So I am embarking on a quest to try, sort out what is what, and where it all fits along a continuous timeline. I will attempt to construct one timeline for the Star Trek Universe that encompasses all of the series, movies, books, comics, and maybe even fan fiction when we get to that point.

Along the way, I will have to make several assumptions, and decide whether or not to include works. All I can say about that is I will try to use all of the Star Trek Cannon approved works, and justify each work on its merits. With that in mind, the events of Star Trek 5: The Final Frontier, the 2009 Star Trek movie, and the William Shatner books (known as the Shatnerverse) will all be excluded. One because I found those two moves to be among the worse Star Trek products ever produced, and that the Shatner books mostly take place in the Mirror Universe. We will deal with the Mirror Universe at a later date.

So the methodology for this will be to break down each separate Star Trek work and order it. Then add all of those to a master timeline. I will start with the works of Star Trek New Frontiers, and Star Trek Titan since both of those works are books only and should give us a basic beginning to work backwards and forewords from.

Along the way, I will be posting a Star Trek Babe of the day, and whatever else Star Trek related I find compelling. I hope everyone enjoys it.
